Nothing but trouble Compressor went out within 3 years. problems again at 5 year mark with Freezer not working. LG did a courtesy repair since it was one month out of warranty last summer. Now its a little over a year and the freezer doesnt get below 30 degrees and fridge temp fluctuates. So frustrated.
Been waiting a week for a service appointment with a LG Tech and nothing yet. Was told to contact #800 again tomorrow. Nothing available on their techs calendar. I was told the compressor is a known problem on this unit. The freezer appears to be an issue as well. Its a LEMON for sure

Bought the refrigerator over 1 mth ago and ice maker still producing non useable ice. The ice has a petroleum taste and smell. Still buying gas station ice bags for over a mth. Multiple calls to LG and Home Depot. Still not resolved.

We brought the refrigerator over July 4th weekend. Everything about it is nice except the craft ice maker has only worked 2 times. It would get stuck after making ice 1 time work a few rounds and now no ice would come out. Weve tried the troubleshoot steps watched youtube videos but nothing is helping.

Going on a month now it seems to be working just fine. Having the window has been fun of course the ice water dispenser. Im not happy with the taste of the water yet. Im hoping itll eventually be toy liking. The ice has seemed to taste reasonable.
I put a thermometer in the door with a remote sensor in the freezer side. The fridge is set at 37 but the temp never gets below 42 in the door. But if I put the sensor in the back its right at 37. So the door usually sits around 44. The freezer is right on 0 thru-out. Should I be concerned about the door temp where we keep milk?

I have had trouble with the craft ice maker in my frig making loud noises. With a quick conversation online the replacement ice maker was sent along with very simple install instructions. In addition a new water filter was also sent all free of charge.

we purchased the instaview frig 5 years ago. After 2 years the compressor went out.Had iit repaired. Now the compressor went out agiain. Called in a tech to replace the unit Paid service charge of $600.00 and still will not freeze food. Called LG said they would send out a tech. That was 2 weeks ago. NO TECH NO CALLS.
Needless to say we will be shopping for a new frig and it will NOT BE LG

Bought this refrigerator in February and the ice maker on the door is already broken. It makes no ice at all and the craft ice maker takes weeks just to fill up. When I first purchased this it made like 6-8 balls in 24hrs on the highest setting now it makes like 3-4 balls every 2-3 days. Im very disappointed with the service and the technician he replaced the ice maker and it still not working then stated I need more protein in my freezes for it to freeze the box faster although there is plenty of protein there. Beware of the ice maker on this machine as its only been 5 months and Im already having issues. The settings on the door are set correctly however Im still getting no ice on the door and few balls from the craft ice maker.

Product is unusable. It was received in an unusable condition having been compressed during shipping. That is the top portion of the refrigerator was clearly compressed resulting in the doors being unable to close properly. I called customer service 10 lengthy times only to be constantly routed to another department. All efforts to escalate failed. Promises to address the situation and commitments to return calls went unheeded. Im stuck with a product that I cannot use and apparently have no recourse.

Just bought this over a month ago super happy with the decision so far. Only rating a 4 since we havent had it long. I love that it makes two separate ice cubes I believe thats my favorite part Yes its cool that you can knock and the light comes on but honestly I think Ive only done that once since having it.

Compressor already died and had to wait more than a week to get service. LG knew exactly what the issue was and the service tech said they compressor they used is subpar. Over a week without any refrigeration when you know youve put a crap product out is despicable.

Working with LG has been the single worst appliance experience weve ever had. The appliances were in stock when we ordered at the beginning of November but then somehow went out of stock and the delivery got pushed back to the beginning of December. Then pushed back again to the middle of December. Then pushed back again to the beginning of January. The install team came and all three appliances were damaged. So obviously they had to wait another month to get the replacement items in. They finally came back at the beginning of February and installed undamaged items. Among the items was this refrigerator. From the start the water pressure on the dispenser was unacceptable. It dispenses 8oz of water in 15 seconds both with and without the filter so it isnt a filter issue. Its supposed to dispense 8oz in 4-7 seconds. We have 45 PSI to the fridge water box. The fridge is designed to work normally at 20 PSI so it isnt a pressure issue.
So we call LG and file a warranty claim. They send a tech out. The tech pulls the fridge away from the wall and check the water connection and then says hell order a part and be back to install it. Weeks go by and no tech. So we call LG. The tech apparently didnt order a part and just closed the ticket putting down low water pressure at the house. Which is a lie. The tech did not test the water pressure to the fridge.
So we file another warranty claim. LG sends out another tech. That tech runs one glass of water through the dispenser and says hell order a part and come back to install it. Weeks go by and no tech. So we call LG again. This tech also just closed the ticket and put down low water pressure. Which again is a lie. Yet again this tech did not test the water pressure to the fridge.
So now were waiting on a third tech to come out who will inevitably just be here for two minutes and not diagnose a single thing and lie about the water pressure. Are these techs scamming LG or are they completely inept? Is LG telling them just to ignore warranty claims to save on money? Its no wonder LG is currently involved in a massive class action lawsuit about how terrible their refrigerators are.
On top of the water issue the freezer consistently has frost built up. Which is an issue well tackle after the water dispenser is fixed. In short just buy a fridge from a different company.

We got this as a gift a few weeks back Not only is the craft ice amazing. The look is elegant and sexy in my kitchen. Only thing I wish they could improve. 6 cubes a day of craft ice. They really covered everything from a stinky fridge with a built in air freshening system. Also the knock on the glass display to see what in the fridge is a wonderful energy efficient feature.

As of today this fridge has been ok. I love the picture view concept and I like the alert sound when the fridge has been open too long. The color is stunning. The value was fairly reasonable.
The cons are not enough drawers or shelves in the freezer. And no handles to open it or close it.

We had a damaged area due the delivery crew but LG was right on getting us the new door. My kids love knocking on the door to see whats inside and then they arent constantly opening and closing door. We really like the craft ice feature too.

We bought this last October after our fridge of 20 years died. I LOVE this refrigerator Lots of organized space - glass front so I can see inside and my FAVORTE feature: craft ice balls. These are wonderful for a good whiskey or just to make the kids drinks fun. We did have an issue with the craft ice maker in January but LG was quite prompt at sending us a replacement within 2 days along with very easy instructions to replace it. Definitely a good purchase

After having this fridge for two years. We have had a compressor problem and have contacted for our claims report. This fridge was purchased through Home Depot with a five year warranty. After going through and getting our warranty claim in dealing with LG directly we were trying to get a certified LG service technician to our house. This process took 2 1/2 weeks. Finally getting back in touch with LG We were told that there were no LG certified technicians in our location. We were then offered reimbursement for LG products or a lower reimbursement For non LG products. As talking with the associates to see if theres anything else they can do or give us the full price of the fridge that we paid for before they said there is nothing else they can do so therefore we went out and bought a non LG product.

Overall we are happy with our new fridge. The inside is spacious and has a nice look to it and the knock feature is fun. I am trying to figure out how to keep dust particles from adhering to the lower front and showing so much. I have also dumped 5 trays of ice balls and they still taste salty. Once we get these little things adjusted I am sure it will be perfect

This is not my first LG refrigerator. I had the one with the 2 door open function that allowed you to get drinks etc out without opening the entire refrigerator. LOVED THAT PRODUCT But can not locate a similar one in our area so we opted for this refrigerator with the knock and see function. I simply love the simplicity of the look. It matches my other LG products in the kitchen perfectly. What I would change if given an option is 1 to add a handle and 2 remove that hinge on the top of the door if possible. This is a fairly deep refrigerator and the hinge just sticks up a little too high for comfort. And I love the sleekness of the look but it requires you to grab the ledge under the door to open the refrigerator because there is no handle. Im not a big fan. Once you start using the refrigerator the practicality of not having a handle becomes clear. You cant come in with a bunch of groceries in your hands to put things up etc and grab a handle with 1 or 2 fingers to open the door. You have to lower your hand and grab the edge of the door. This results in whatever is in your hands sliding door your arm hand etc and hitting on the refrigerator door. Just my thoughts. I intend to have this refrigerator a long time but I sure did LOVE the previous version more than this one.

We have had this refrigerator for 8 months and at no point has it worked. We had issues with the filter and when a tech was out said the filter was in it and it wasnt. We needed to replace the filter now the water tastes like plastic. Our craft ice maker has worked since we got it but the ice maker in the door has never worked. Weve contacted customer service several times had a tech out several times had them send us a replacement dispenser to install ourselves and it STILL doesnt work. My husband contacted them and they said theyd contact us when a tech is in the area and we havent heard from them since. Disappointing waste of money.

I bought this fridge two months ago. I connected this fridge to the ThinQ app. I am able to control the fridge via the phone app. I like craft ice. The fridge is reliable. I like the InstaView feature a lot. I have a lot of space in the fridge to put different items. One thing that can be improved is that LG can add support for HomeKit Google Home and Alexa. Currently I am not able to use voice control that much. Just Alexa can turn on/off the ice plus.
