Its a nice refrigertor when everythings works properly. Not even 3 years old and two repairs including replacing the coil and compressor. The technicains are fabulous but could not tell me that repairs like that are unusual. I think its crazy that I had to have an independent repairman confirm that the compressor wasnt working properly in order to have the LG tech come out and do the repair under warranty

My husband and l purchased this fridge 4 years ago. Love the style of the freezers on the bottom and all the functions especially the smug resistance stainless steel. Wipe with a microfiber cloth and shines like new. However the compressor failed after only four years. Yes it was under warranty which LG covered with relative ease.but loosing all that food and not having a fridge for more than a week was expensive. We tried and failed to keep it cool with ice but in the end most of what we had needed to be tossed. And eating out because of fear also was expensive. They did kindly give us 150 for the groceries but we spent a lot more refilling. We miss the old days when a fridge or any appliance for that matter would last Spending that kind of money is an investment.

Easy to Reach Everything

I love my new refrigerator I can reach everything easily including two freezer drawers that pull out. The in-door water and ice both cubes and crushed fill a glass quickly. The large door sections hold milk and other tall things and I dont have to reach up to a high shelf to lift these things out above my head. The deli section has a convenient pull-out drawer that makes things easy to see.

Compressor quit within 2 years

We bought the refrigerator in 2022. I like that it doesnt show fingerprints like some of the older stainless steel refrigerators. Very small ice maker which we knew when we bought it and can accept but the water filter doesnt filter out calcium so we have white flakes in the ice and water. The repair man who replaced the compressor under warrantee suggested to dump the ice each day into a bin or bag and store in freezer and to clean inside the ice/water dispenser daily. Those actions have helped a lot to alleviate the white flakes down the front of the refrigerator.

Decent fridge but died at exactly 3 years old.

This fridge is decent at its job the water dispenser is a nice addition. The ice maker frequently freezes over requiring to take out the tray and unclog. The double doors are nice but to get to even open some the drawers the whole fridge must be opened. The whole fridge also just decided to leak all the refrigerant out into my house causing all items to spoil and getting sick for a couple of days. It took over a week for repair but thankfully LG covered it. I would not recommend LG refrigerators look up their years of issues with their compressors. I do not trust this to keep my food cold. Buyer beware.

This one replaced a huge lemon one.

I ended up with this one which is exactly like the previous one that they replaced everything in it multiple times evey couple months especially the ice maker and its fans. This one has worked as expected. No brake downs in 2 years. I do not like the reworked ice maker water in the door. On this one you have to select ice or water button instead of having a dedicated water and dedicated ice slot as my first one has. You cant even see the button as they are not lit when you walk up so you press all over the place. Poor design all around. Both have a lot of space but the double drawer freezers seem smaller than my old original side by side door fridge.

We bought this to replace another LG refrigerator we had and really liked. This refrigerator is very spacious and can be organized quite easily. Our only complaint with this refrigerator is that the ice maker in the door is slow. We get ice in our glasses 3-4 times a day and it cannot keep up. Our other LG refrigerator had no problem keeping up with our ice demand.

The service of LG to new users is superb

I bought the refrigerator about three weeks ago. Those who brought it detected a slight scratch on the door and a defect in the handle. They immediately reported to the company and the company reacted swiftly changing the door and the handle bringing the product to perfection. The speed in which LG reacted and corrected the defect is praise worthy.

Good Value works well not sure on the support

We bought the refrigerator from Costco just less than a year ago. It has worked well and doesnt freeze the food and make ice lakes in the refrigerator like our previous French door unit. It would be nice if the lower freezer drawer had a light and the crisper drawers are too wide to open without opening both doors. However the ice maker ceased to function about two weeks ago just within the warranty and we are till waiting for a response to our service ticket and our status request on the service ticket.

The look and capacity on this is great but the double freezer drawers thawed and then the fridge got dicey. Aww lost a huge shopping trip+. Authorized compressor replacement didnt solve the problem and while the compressor was covered the expensive service was not. Neither was the expensive appliance which was unsupported beyond the mfrs warranty. I googled a known compressor failure or line clog in some LGs only after the fact. Had to buy another new fridge after a short two years. Such a shame. Usually great brandall of our home appliances are LG VERY disappointed in this.

Solid performer

Purchased this model through Costco after a month and a half of failed deliveries by Home Depot. HD tried to deliver damaged refrigerators 3 times and cancelled one deliver for no reason. That purchase was a similar model with a second craft ice cube maker. I would not recommend the 2 ice maker model. We bought craft ice cube trays for $15 and freeze our own. The model we have one indoor ice cube maker is really great. Its only been a couple of weeks. Other than an improperly installed water filter by the Costco delivery team all is working well.

ICE MAKER VERY SMALL

The refrigerator is okay. It keeps your food cold. If you use ice very much at all you will need a separate ice maker The ice maker is very small and the ice itself is also. Also for some reason unknown to this writer LG decided you only need a light in the top freezer drawer and not the bottom making it very hard to see frozen goods. Im sure that LG wont give me the money in their contest because I told the truth. We have had the refrigerator for three years though and its still running

Features outstanding buy extended warranty

I have had this refrigerator for several years. Unfortunately it did not last and was replaced by LG. I was able to buy any replacement refrigerator I wanted and I chose to buy the LMXS28626S again because the reviews Consumer reports reviews features and price. The ice maker is in the door and frees up valuable space. Adjustable shelveswould like to have had one more hole in the panel to move the shelves Adjustable shelf for tall items you can open the drawers with only one door open even the deli drawer can open a couple inches to squeeze something small in or out. Deep door shelves on right. Freezer drawercould not find too many regular sized refrigerators with a 0 drawer makes for easy access frequently used items. After the fact we realized there was a slight noise with the first unit that is not present with the replacement unit. I bought the extended warranty and would recommend everyone buy it for all appliances that are being made currently.have had to use warranty on several items Check for frost around the drawers and keep a thermometer inside the freezer and fridge compartments. This is my 3rd LG refrigerator in this style. The freezer drawer a slim ice bin in the door and deli drawer were the best in this style refrigerator. Would recommend the LMXS even if ours did not last as long as we would have liked. Enjoy all the room inside.

I bought the refrigerator a month ago so I havent had a lot of time on it. Overall I am very satisfied. There are two things I have noticed. The first is that all of the ice cubes freeze together. You have to remove the ice container from the door and empty it out. The second item is that you have to press the water and cubed ice several times in order for them to dispense

AWESOME Customer Service Warranty

I wont sugar coat it. You can buy a fridge pretty much anywhere any brand and it should last. This is my second LG Fridge. My first one lasted less than 3 years before the condenser quit working. I assumed it was out of warranty and well... we needed another Fridge ASAP. It was summer time and it just happend that day we were hosting a family reunion and military homecoming. So we went to Lowes and bought another LG It was and has been an amazing fridge had everything we needed for a family of four. But like the other one just about 3 yrs in the condenser failed AGAIN. This time I called LG. Without going into details they informed me that the unit was still under warranty and that a technician would be out that week to fix it. Granted we lost 1/3 of our food and had to purchase a temporary fridge off of FB marketplace. But the highlight of this review is focused on customer service. Again a fridge is a fridge and all MFGs have issues in some form or fashion. But what all MFGs dont have is superior customer service. LG has me for life It was a seamless experience and process. I just hope the fridge lasts another 5+ years If not the review will be drastically different and Ill probably throw out every other LG product I have in spite.

Good quality refrigerator hope it lasts

Bought this refrigerator about 3 weeks ago and so far all seems to be working fine. Both the refrigerator and freezer seem to be keeping the set temperature. The refrigerator is very quiet and the icemaker and water dispenser work as expected. Only issue we have is that the second shelf the one that can be open/close to allow for tall items when closed it doesnt stay closed all the way. from time to time it opens or slide back 1/2 way. I will contact LG to see if we can get a replacement part

In door water

I have had my refrigerator for about 3 weeks now. The water and ice tastes like a rubber hose. I did a live chat with LG support and they said LG sent me the wrong water filter so they are sending me one which will take 7 to 10 business days. I my opinion they should have overnighted it. I hope that fixes the problem.

Freezer doors dont stay open

Ive had this refrigerator for less than a month and its okay. The refrigerator section is very big. Im disappointed in the freezer. Its smaller than I thought it would be but the worst part is that the freezer doors dont stay open on their own you have to hold the door open with your hand so you can never use both hands to access whats in the freezer. This happens for both freezer doors. You open them and they just slide shut right away. Ive had technicians out twice to try to fix it but it cant be fixed. Not so good if you have something to put in the freezer that you need two hands to hold.

I had my frige for two years and the fridge failed. They were unsuccessful in getting a tech out to me. They said they would refund me. I have been waiting for a refund for two years now its time for attorneys to get envolved.
