What was GE thinking when they decided not to illuminate the buttons on the microwave. Super hard to see the buttons at night or in low light. Disappointed, it really spoils what appears to be a nice microwave/ oven.

The door on the microwave is awkward for me. I™™m not that tall and I have to have my husband or someone else reach the back of the oven to clean it. Same problem trying to wipe the sides down; short of stepping on a step stool not happy with the pull down door. My last microwave™™s door opened from the side and I could get in close to wipe it down.

We've been in our new home a little over a week and are really enjoying it. The microwave/convection oven has a lot of features, but the online instructions made it easy to learn and get up and running. I'm looking forward to trying the convection and broil functions soon. Since this was a model home, it did not come with the convection rack or broiler pan, so I have not been able to fully explore those features yet. Overall, the appliance seems great so far, and we're excited to continue learning everything it can do.

I love my new microwave/oven I would of gave it a 5 star rating except that when we ordered the 3 appliances we ordered the fingerprint resistant on all the appliances, but when we unboxed them we discovered the microwave/oven only came in stainless steel, I was so disappointed!! I do love the microwave door how it opens down its really nice like that and in the oven it has a rack that rolls out. So overall it™™s a 5 but I would of loved to have known a head time that was the way it had to be.

I like my new oven/microwave. However, I prefer how my old microwave door opened. I am short so reaching in over the door is difficult for me. Also, I do not like , pushing the start button multiple times to use time cook. I am trying to get use to using the convection oven. The capacity of both are good. My old unit was close to 14 years old before the microwave malfunctioned, so the GE profile is a good product.

Very nice looking unit. Install was quick (we hired a pro) and fairly painless. Oven cooks evenly and is easy to clean. Microwave is powerful and has a bit of a learning curve - takes several clicks to get started. When cooking by time you are limited to 15-second increments, which can be a pain. The only major gripe is the timer alarm is so faint it is almost impossible to hear, and there is no way to make it louder. Otherwise, great oven!

Not for short or older people. On line manual is 80 pages long and book with oven only dealt with installation. Controls are very high and we can not remove anything out of the microwave without a stepstool. Timer signals and temperature are very faint and hard to hear. We liked our older appliance much better.

We love our new combo. Had the Profile combo for 17 years and had to replace due to peeling paint inside MW. We miss the control panel we had on previous model with easy timing. Also, as many have complained and some returned for this issue, the sound is too quiet. We are used to using timer but can't hear it go off. MW makes no, or small, sound when finished. I really do miss that. We bought another timer but we can't fix MW sound. Hope you get a fix and repair sold products. Bought because of double oven feature but haven't tried that part yet. We did buy extended warranty so hope the sound problem can be fixed. Did you try your product before selling???

I have had this oven/ microwave combo for 5 months, oven still unused n microwave occasionally, as I have another microwave. To my horror as I went to heat up some food I noticed many rust specks inside the microwave ( orange brown powder like). Having wiped it down clean with a soft damp cloth, it is left with discoloration and permanent white silver specks . See the picture it is not food, but rust which has eaten through stainless steel.Cheap product, not built to last.

I love that this unit was an exact replacement for my 24 year old oven/microwave combo. It does take a bit longer to heat up than my old one. The microwave works great and as others have reported, the timer is very hard to hear. I just use a traditional timer, not a real issue for me. It has a large oven capacity and so doe the microwave. The pull down door on the microwave might be a negative for short people, but doesn™™t bother me at all.

I am disappointed in this oven. First of all the oven racks are impossible to get in and out smoothly. I know there was a bottle of graphite, and I have put it on quite liberally, but they still squeak and move jerkily. Also, when the oven signals that it has reached a desired temperature, it takes another 15 minutes for the correct temperature to register on the oven thermometer that I have put in the oven. At that point it.stays consistent. Expected more from a new GE appliance.

The controls for the dual ovens are not intuitive. The number of steps required to start the microwave is excessive.
The combination of microwave and small convection oven is good.
The lower oven is adequate.

Limited personal research indicates this model came out more that a decade ago. The singular twistable knob takes too many presses to achieve finally turning the microwave (and oven) on!
On the other hand not having an operational manual included might be considered modern hi tech; I find it CHEAP.

Great design. Accurate temp and function controls. Christmas roasts done perfectly with convection oven. Was able to do potatoes, roaqsts and popovers at the same time. Great oven capacity.

We love our new microwave except for one thing...we can't hear the alarm when it's done cooking! The only option that we have discovered is off or on and on is definitely not loud enough to hear over the sounds of a normal kitchen.

I really like the microwave convection combo wall unit. The only problem I have it that when you open the microwave door it is very difficult to reach over the door to place thing inside or reach to clean. My old one opened to the side so if you are short it was not a struggle. The controls were frustrating at first, but getting used hitting the knob several times to actually start things. Both the microwave and oven are spacious and heating seems good and even

I have had this combination oven for a little over 4 years and on Thanksgiving the microwave popped and quit heating. Had the relay and the mother board replaced, but that did not fix it. Instead of continuing to guess what is wrong and continuing to buy parts and pay service people, we just ordered a new unit. This oven is very expensive and should last longer than 4 years. My previous profile oven lasted 14 years. Very disappointed.

Love the rich look of my new ge Profile combination microwave/oven. I have the 30™ and it fits beautifully in my kitchen. The simplicity of the functions made it easy to begin using and love that I can use both ovens as a convection oven. A new feature for me is the roll-out shelf in the bottom oven - nice feature. The ovens are quiet when on. My favorite function on the microwave is the 30-second button, which you can quickly adjust up or down, most used function in my household.

I™™ve owned the GE Profile 30" Built-In Combination Convection Microwave/Convection Wall Oven (Model PT7800SHSS) for some time, and the product itself works great. I™™ve really enjoyed the features, and when it™™s working, it performs exactly as expected. Unfortunately, when the AC blower went bad, everything took a turn™"and not because of the appliance, but because of Bodewell, the service division handling GE repairs.
What should have been a simple service call turned into one of the most frustrating customer-service experiences I™™ve ever dealt with. Here™™s the timeline:
November 4: Bodewell scheduled a technician to come out. I received a text saying the tech was on the way, and I was literally outside in my driveway with my daughter. No one ever showed. When I called, I was first told they were running late. Later, someone claimed the tech had come at 9:47 AM and that no one was home™"even though I have a 9:46 AM text from them saying the tech was ™on the way,™ and I was standing outside at that exact time. The tech never came.
November 12: A technician finally arrived and diagnosed the problem.
November 25: Without notifying me, dispatch rescheduled my repair appointment to December 3. I had to call multiple times to even figure that out. The first few reps kept saying the tech was "still on the way" when, in fact, the appointment had been moved. Thanks for not fixing my oven before Thanksgiving, even when the tech scheduled it himself.
December 3: Yet again, no technician showed. No call, no text, no knock™"nothing. I have a clear view of my driveway from a large bay window and was home all day. When I called Bodewell support, I was repeatedly told the tech was running late and that I'd get a text soon. After several calls, at around 4:50 PM, I was finally informed the tech supposedly ™arrived™ and claimed no one was home. This simply did not happen. The only vehicle in my driveway that day was a FedEx truck.
After escalating to customer relations, the only response was to reschedule me again, with no acknowledgment of the repeated no-shows, false reporting, or complete lack of communication. At this point, it™™s clear that Bodewell™™s system is broken™"whether due to poor management, dishonest technicians, or a complete failure in dispatch and communication.
Bottom line:
The oven is great. Honestly the oven is 5 stars.
But Bodewell service is unreliable, repeatedly inaccurate, and extremely frustrating to deal with since they will lie to their customers.
If something breaks, do yourself a favor: fix it yourself or hire a local trusted repair tech, because Bodewell will waste your time and then claim you weren™™t home even when you™™re standing in your driveway.
