Let™™s see whoever tested it didn™™t pump it out so all the paperwork was wet and when I went to install this 50 dollar dishwasher that sells for 900 it poured water all over the floor. In the future either put real insulation on product or don™™t. Don™™t insult us by putting the 1/8 thick window dressing and expect it to pass.

Very nice GE Dishwasher with all the bells and whistles. Noise level is quite and color Slate is fantastic for finger prints or smudges, you can't see them. The Sanitize Cycle was important to me to get my silverware and dishes cleaned efficiently during this cycle. Large plastic Interior tub always looks sparkling clean without water stains. I recommend this model #GDF550PMRES.

This is the worst experience I™™ve had. I got it at home depot in Salem Or and they ruined my cabinets, and the dishwasher doesn™™t wash properly and has a draining problem they only way it will wash is if it™™s on certain settings. We spent so much money and have had many problems. Don™™t recommend it at all. I have other General Electric appliances and they work great just not this one.. God bless you all.

On a kitchen remodel we chose this because we liked the finish. Its a good dishwasher with good capacity and we liked the fact that it's quiet and has plenty of features, was a good price, and there are options like top and front controls. The only thing that kinda is a con is the installation instructions. I suggest hooking up electric and supply and drain before mounting it in. Easier that way.

Machine leaking after 2 uses and has door flaw

I needed a slate finish dishwasher and grabbed the first machine that was available for my rental. The machine is leaking after 2 uses, and there is a flaw on the front door. GE is replacing the door which may also fix the seal leak. I'd prefer to have a better-quality machine, but that is not an option unless the machine has further failure, which will require more phone time with GE.

Great looking dishwasher, we love the utensil basket because it keeps everything separated. It cleans our dishes very well. I read the other reviews with photos posted saying that it didn™™t get their dishes clean™" The funny thing is the photos showed tons of caked on food on their dishes. You have to pre-rinse, people! It is a little loud when it runs and also the door is very flimsy. We™™re a little bit worried about how long it will last because we have teenagers in the house and we™™ve had to remind them not to slam the door.

Don't Buy - Quits working - Recurring issue

I bought this dishwasher in 2019. It stopped working the first time in 2023. It just wouldn't come on. Then our electricity went out in a storm, and when power was restored, dishwasher started working again. For a while. Then it started quitting again. ALL THE TIME!! I looked up trouble shooting on the site and found SO MANY people had the exact same issue. There is a part that can be replaced, but for those who did the replacement, the problem just came back again. Something fails in the power repeatedly. And the worst part is that GE had the same lame response (if they even responded) about how much they value their customers and want to make the product right - exact same verbiage for everyone. But then no further correspondence. GE doesn't care. If they did, they would fix the problem that has been going on for so long for so many people. Or at the very least compensate the reoccurring issue or do a recall. Now I'm dishwasher shopping - but no GE for me EVER!

We already had a GE dishwasher but the mother board had started to show signs of failure. Rather then take a chance on an expensive repair we just bought a new one. This one works great but just in case we bought a three year protection plan to go along with it.

This dishwasher is so much better than our old one. It has a lot more features and flexibility in choosing what kind of wash cycle you want. It is also so quiet when it's running you don't even notice it. The best thing was the price. I assumed at first that this would be an economy model with minimum features. After doing some research I couldn't believe all the features that came on this model at that price point. We are quite happy with this purchase.
