When our 45 year old Hotpoint 24™€ wall oven failed unexpectedly after a rash of other appliance failures, we were frustrated to say the least. After some significant research and assistance from Matt at Home Appliance in Massillon, OH, we determined we could upgrade to this 27™€ wall oven at a lower price than a comparable 24™€. I picked up and installed this oven myself and our initial impressions after the first two weeks of use are nothing but positive. Build quality appears to be very good and the number of features this thing offers is out of this world. Despite the plethora of options, it™€™s still very easy to use and we haven™€™t even scratched the surface of what it™€™s capable of doing. We can™€™t wait to discover new ways to use our new oven in the coming months. It™€™s so nice to have a fully functional upgraded oven after 3 months of doing without.

Short Electrical Cord

So far we are happy with the oven. Our old Frigidaire wall oven lasted almost 15 years, so I hope this one is just as reliable as the old one. We really like some of the new options with this oven, but haven't tried them all as yet. I would have given this 5 stars, but the electrical cord is a lot shorter than the old one, and we had to have a new connection box put in during installation, which added to the cost.

Replacement Oven

So far I love my new oven. I have been using it for about a month. The look is even better than the prior model that we had to have replaced. There are several functional design updates including those that improve standardized venting at the base and securing the oven to the wall opening.The convection fan is so quiet I had to really inspect the unit while on to be sure it was working the first time I used it. I may update my review to a five star in a few months if it continues to be so awesome, for now I have to go with the 4 star because I still have a residual chemical plastic smell during the first 15 minutes of use even after multiple uses.

I really like my new Frigidaire oven and have been experimenting with many of the features I did not have on the old Frigidaire oven that it replaced. I have been using the Total Convection and Steam bake features. However, I am very disappointed that the oven does not actually have the advertised Bread Proofing feature. I bake a lot of bread and I purchased the Gallery model instead of the cheaper one because of it. However, it is not among the controls nor is it even mentioned in the Users Manual. I have been in contact with both sales and Customer Support (half an hour hold plus a fruitless conversation) and have not received any satisfactory response. When I asked the Customer Support person--who had no idea what bread proofing is--why Frigidaire advertised a setting the oven did not actually have, she said "Marketing!" I was not at all pleased with that answer, and contacted Sales again, who again referred me to Customer Support. If it weren't for this I would have rated the oven five stars. (If I rated the customer support, it would have been two stars.)

Error code brand new oven

Purchased oven 1/27/23. Installed 1/30/23. Used several times with good results until 2/16/23. Baked pies, as oven was cooling, it beeped and showed error code 45, call Customer service. Beyond disappointed in this. My 35 year old GE oven that I replaced was working, but I was concerned that it would fail. So, here I am with a non- working brand new oven waiting for a repairman.

heating issues

The oven is beautiful but I am having heating issues. For example on convection set at 350 the oven drops temp to 275 while cooking. The same happens if I just set regular bake. When baking cookies the oven will drop 50 to 75 degrees and the cookies will not bake correctly. Should not need to call for service in the first 6 months of ownership.

After about one month from installation....

...so far the oven functions well, but I have not tried all the features yet! The installation was extremely high priced because the electrical connection of the wall oven was too short and could not reach the outlet. I would suggest to Frigidaire to make these electrical cable a little longer to accomodate the different hight of the wall outlet. The price of the oven was quite steep and for this price Frigidaire should have provided a special "canister" or wired pan to use for air fry. I had to by one and it costed around $40.00 on line. Moreover I noted that when using air fry with prepared frozen french fries or fish sticks, a lot of oil droplets will deposit on the oven surface and racks. This has discouraged me from using the air fry, which was originally the main reason why I chose this model. I do not like to have to clean the inside of the oven every time I use the air fry!I don't know when to use the feature "no preheat", since all the baking that I have done in my life require "preheating".I have given the 5 stars because, in spite of having waited many weeks to have my old wall oven replaced, the Frigidaire fits my space perfectly like the old one and I can finally have a functioning oven! If I had to buy one again, I would go for a less expansive model without air fry and other extras.I do hope that all those fancy electrical controls will last a long time, hopefully longer than the usual 10 years of today's appliances!!

I am very pleased with my new oven. Works perfectly and looks gorgeous. I love how customizable with the options like volume and brightness (I lowered both!) and quick cook temperatures favorites. I named her Julia after the great Julia Child!

This is an excellent product! There are so many different ways to cook with this oven that it boggles the mind. Air fry, convection bake or roast, steam bake or roast, dehydrate...only to name a few but the list goes on. Very happy with this purchase!

I™€™m loving this oven so far. I was very disappointed that it didn™€™t come with the air fry rack. I haven™€™t used this feature yet. I™€™m unable to find the rack online. I™€™ve called the Frigidaire company, and the rack is back ordered till May.

This had all the features I was looking for and, most importantly, it fit into my cutout which was narrower than most for a 27™€ model. Have been using it for almost a month and it meets or exceeds all my expectations.

Questionable preheat treatment

The oven works well, however the preheat takes a very long time. First times using it kept burning all my baked goods so I got it calibrated. Found out it hold the tempura tire at the set level, however on preheat it will add 40-50 degrees to the set temperature. So I™€™ve been putting my biscuits into a 450 degree oven instead of a 400 degree oven. Now I wait for preheat to end. Open the door for a full minute so the heat will go to set, then put my product in. Very wastfull and annoying.

The oven is great when it is working

I received the oven in May of 2022. I used it and was very happy with it. In late October I used the self-clean feature. Soon after that the control board went dead and the oven would not function. A service person came out in early November and tried to fix it unsuccessfully. He explained that it needs two parts. One part came, but another, the controller, has been on back order since then. I have not had the use of my new oven for over two months!I have spoken to someone on the customer service line three times and they tell me that the part is showing as ordered but it never ships. I am hoping that this review will reach someone that can help me. At this point I should receive a new oven if the needed part for mine is not available.

Review for Frigidaire 27" single total convection oven

I can say that I am partially happy with my new Frigidaire oven. It is very easy and friendly to program. There was one negative surprise. At the store ,they did not have this model on display. When I asked, where is the power supply cord located?- I was told, that when you stay in front of the oven -power supply is on the right side- BUT in reality the power supply is on the LEFT side! Power cord was too short to connect to existing junction box. I went back to the store (Canadian Appliance Source) asking them to help me because of their misleading information. They gave me Frigidaire website- where the power cord 903056-9010 cost $432.25 CAD!!.I told them, that I can not afford for such big additional cost. I was told- that I can return this oven, BUT I will be charged re-stocking fee of 20% of plus $99 for shipping- that is TOTAL ALMOST $500 CA which I will be loosing! What a shame!! So I stuck with this Frigidaire oven. The temporary solution is that the oven is installed as undercounter cabinet and the whole cabinet was moved more to the right side to reach existing junction box-BUT NOW- the cabinet is partially blocking entrance to our kitchen. My wife is arguing about this oven with me almost everyday! So I am paying the "COST" for misleading info from Canadian Appliance. HELP from Frigidaire -with power cord 903056-9010 will be highly appreciated.

Love this oven

This over is one of the few that fit into my space. Looks great anf bakes wonderfully. Only complaint I jave is the during the first use, some type of dust dislodged and in between the glass. I basically was told that its 2 hours of work for 2 men to clean it. 2 times a year.

My last oven was so outdated that I had no idea how much easier baking could be. After my new oven was installed my family was thrilled, I baked brownies and cakes and muffins until we were covered up with baked goods. It was delightful. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Unit is excellent and was a perfect fit. I am very pleased. Works very easily and is easy to control. Replaced 1994 Jenn Air wall oven whose controls were failing and parts not available and am glad now they weren't.

Manual Needs Improvement

So far this is a great wall overall. Would have gotten 5 stars except for the manual.The manual needs a major rewrite. See below.PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET THE DEVICE OUT OF DEMO MODE. Also, a longer wiring harness would be helpful.
