Complete product and customer service failure

We made the unfortunate decision to go with Cafe appliances during a full kitchen renovation over the summer. We have had numerous issues with various appliances however, the stove has represented a significant repeated safety issue. After only six months, the regulator failed causing a gas leak in our home. Thankfully, this was caught but our range is out of service for nearly 2 weeks while Cafe took their sweet time sending us the part. It fast-forward to a few days ago we once again smelled gas in our home. We called Cafe and the wait was nine days to get a service technician to our home to even LOOK at the unit. This is obviously unacceptable for an appliance that we use every day to prepare food for our family. We found our own repair company and they diagnosed numerous faulty components showing excessive wear and leaking gas. This is totally unacceptable from quality control and safety standpoint. Further, when we very reasonably requested that the entire unit be replaced since this one obviously has significant safety defects, we were told unsympathetically that the warranty only covers parts replacements. That means that our stove will once again be out of commission until such time as Cafe gets around to getting us all of the parts that are needed to repair the unit and until such time that their repair person can get around to fixing it. We cannot live without our stove for weeks on end while Cafe does whatever is convenient for them and not for a consumer who spent an insane amount of money on their supposedly top of the line of appliance suite. This is totally unacceptable both in terms of product quality and post purchase customer service.

Poor Design, Broken Knobs

Four out of the six knobs are now broken, and they cannot be repaired. After the third one failed, it became clear this is a design flaw, not user error. For the price, I expected durability ™€" not a product where basic functionality breaks down within a short time. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.

Does not work as advertised

Burners put out uneven heat, the 12,000 btu center burners each put out different amount of heat from eachother, same with the rear 18,000 btu burners and the wok burner puts out a huge flame that leaves a ton of soot on the pans. I had service come out and they couldn't fix it. The burners also put out a different amount of heat in correlation to the control knob. If I keep the rear 18000 btu burner on 2, I have to keep the other on 4 for similar heat output. All burners also do not adjust properly, settings 1-3 are the same output as well as 4-7. Basically there are three heating settings, not the nine as the control knob suggests. Had this for about two years and am very unhappy. Would not recommend

Controls ruin an otherwise beautiful product.

While otherwise beautiful in design, the control knobs are very cheaply constructed and all of our are now broken. The outer shell is solid, but the actual functioning connection to your range is a cheap plastic insert, and this will break rendering the entire stove useless unless you purchase a replacement set from GE which costs almost $500. I'll never purchase a Cafe branded product again.

Range top is "ok"

This is a new homw. We moved in 4 months ago. The range top is "ok". Two knobs have broke and just spin. The builder says he cant get the parts. Additionally the front left burner burns uneven. High in the left, normal the rest. Never had a gas range do this before.

Knobs look great, but are extremely flimsy

While this product looks great, I wouldn't recommend them for reliability. After less than two years, all but one of our knobs has cracked where they attach to the valve. Replacing these knobs costs a lot. I also had problems with other kitchen products from CafÃ, so wouldn't recommend this brand for reliability.

I absolutely LOVE this cooktop range! I'll admit I wasn't at first happy about there not being a flat top accessory but that quickly went away and I wouldn't change a thing. The vortex burner is incredible and the range overall is hands down the best I've ever used. So glad we purchased this for our new home.
