I ordered this refrigerator with a left hand swing..ie. opens from the right. When delivered the handle would not attach on the right hand side and it was determined the holes for the attachment on the right were misaligned, so a new door was ordered....7 weeks later the new door arrived and was installed, with a functioning handle :-) . I wanted this Amana fridge because it was the same size and configuration of my previous Amana fridge, which I was very happy with. This new fridge has a few less features (no soda/can shelf, no ice tray shelf) but overall I am happy with it's function... other than 7 weeks with no handle on the door.

This refrigerator is nice and spacious. Shelves in unit and door have several placement options to choose from. Freezer is also spacious and easy to use. The biggest problem was getting the icemaker installed since it doesn't come already included. It was quite a hassle to get someone to put it in. Must ask for contractors from the store to install it. Not the people actually working for the store. Icemaker works well and we are happy with this product.

I like the overall refrigerator mostly but do not like the crisper drawers at all. They are very flimsy and not deep enough compared to my old fridge. The little plastic humidity tab has already broken off one of the drawers. I bought this model because I wanted the butter section with closable lid on the door.

I bought two of these refrigerators to replace two 30 year old Amana bottom-freezer refrigerators. I bought the ice maker kit specified on the Amana website (W11459724), however, it did not fit. The electrical plug for the ice maker in the refrigerator has five pins (only four used), but the ice maker kit had a 4 prong plug. Also, the electrical connection for the water solenoid did not fit

I purchased a replacement for a 28 yr old AMANA of similar design and hope it will serve me as long. The design changed from a freezer door on the bottom to a drawer in this new model and I am getting used to it but think its a an easier reach. The refrigerator portion is large with almost the same options; we found it very versatile/adaptable to our needs. I can easily adjust shelves for holiday roasts and storage containers. The model is lighter it weight than the previous but very happy overall.

It was a sad moment when I had to replace our 27 yr old Amana bottom freezer refrigerator. So very thankful I was able to replace it with a model that™™s almost identical and look forward to another 27 yr run. This model has a freezer drawer instead of a door which is probably an improvement. My hope is that this refrigerator which is much quieter than the first, will occasionally make some of those old familiar sounds we grew to love and were explained in the manual. It was installed within 15 minutes and up and cooling 100% in the timeframe mentioned in the instructions. So happy.

Purchased April 2025/now September 2025. I hate French Door refrigerators-when my home flooded-glad to see it go. After 6 months of research-decided on a 2 door freezer on bottom Amana. My kitchen is small & my contractor cut the 6" studs behind the refridgator to 3" (not load bearing wall) as I needed the extra depth to fit this fridge. PROs 1) Very large & roomy. 2) No water dispenser or ice maker to break. (I did not want either one) 3) Light inside is very bright 4) Tons of door storage 5) Very Quiet 6) Keeps things cool. (No freezing of things in the back like my son's Samsung fridge does) 7) Love the butter holder - never had one before. Very convenient. 8) Love the fact that the area behind the glass shelves is too narrow for stuff to fall down into 9) I had a contractor build a 7" tall platform on casters & he set this Amana fridge on it. I can easily reach to the back of the top glass shelf despite being on a platform & I love it. (Just in case that 100 year flood happens again-my fridge will be safe up off the ground). It rolls out for easy cleaning & he put a white wood skirt on front so can't see casters. CONs 1) Wire freezer basket - I wish it were a plastic tub in the freezer 2) Solid door bins - I like the clear door bins in Whirlpool fridges better & I wish I had the option to have them in my Amana. (I don't trust Whirlpool fridges enough to buy their bottom freezer/as it had rust issues etc) (Yes Amana is owned by Whirlpool but after a terrible Whirlpool dishwasher I will never own another Whirlpool product itself product). 3) The vegetable bin drawers do not roll easily in and out & are smaller than expected but I noticed that in dozens of refridgerators I looked at - and heard the same complaint in thousands of reviews across many makes/models I just put apples etc on the glass shelf above vegetable bins if I buy too many fruits/vegetables. They seem to last just as long there.

Wish our 20+year old Amana didn't die. This new one is quieter, but the drawers are much flimsier, no egg tray, no liners in the door bins, no clear door bins to see jars better, no pull-out shelf. It's almost the exact same outside dimensions as the old one, but almost 3 cubic feet smaller. If that means it's better insulated, that's fine.

I wish the fruit & vegetable bins were bigger. Maybe a separate drawer in the middle just for two big fruit & vegetable drawers, so like a 2 door with a drawer in the middle. I like the covered butter dish & the smaller cheese/ lunch meat drawer not like a full shelf. I like that you can mover shelves. I wish it had a plastic tub in the freezer instead of the wire basket. It would be great if you could make the size 71" tall by 36" wide by 32" deep. General Electric makes one that's close to those dimensions but it's way too deep like 36" deep. I loved my Kenmore but they don't make them anymore beautiful thick glass shelves chrome large door shelves. Make it real Stainless Steel , Thanks for asking. Hopefully some day you'll make one with those dimensions & I'll buy it. Oh please keep making the freezer on the bottom drawer very handy. Thank you

My wife and I bought this refrigerator because we did not want an ice maker. Previously owned a similar Whirlpool refrigerator, but never used the ice maker. I had originally ordered this refrigerator, in white, from Home Depot at the end of April and delivery kept getting pushed back until I got fed up and cancelled the Home Depot order in August and ordered directly from Amana. Still couldn't get white, so settled for stainless steel. The refrigerator was delivered in September as promised. The good things about the Amana refrigerator is it holds its temperature well in both the refrigerator and freezer sections. The internal layout is exactly the same as our previous Whirlpool refrigerator, and there is plenty of space. Also, the external size of the unit fits our limited space very well. This refrigerator runs much quieter than our previous Whirlpool, which is very nice. The not-so-good things about this refrigerator include the immovable divider in the freezer section, which limits what can be stored there. The meat and vegetable drawers are very flimsy, and they don't roll in and out easily, so must be very gentle with them. Also, it is very hard to keep the stainless steel finish clean. Lastly, opening and closing the freezer sounds "clunkier" than our old Whirlpool refrigerator, which leads me to believe the unit was made with cheaper materials. Overall, I would recommend this refrigerator as long as you can live with the shortcomings mentioned above.

The fridge seem to be running constantly as if it has a leaky door seal. THIS is our SECOND Amana. Our first died in December after 20 years of service. There is also a rattle when ever the motor begins the cooling. Can't get used to the stainless steel door. Finger prints galore. I have to organize the door shelves better. The inside is arranged differently than our old AMANA.

Very disappointed in the quality of this Refrigerator. It arrived with the screw hole covers either missing or broken. NO ice trays or bucket. No shelf for ice trays in the freezer compartment. Freezer door handle keeps coming off of the door when we open the freezer, MOST ANNOYING! All the bins in upper portion are thin cheap flimsy material and do not pull in and out smoothly. This refrigerator replaced a 25plus year old refrigerator , unfortunately we do not expect to get the same life out of this new one. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR THE MONEY SPENT ON IT

WE had a 28-year-old frig that this replaced, same company same model. And the quality difference is HUGE! VERY poor quality. NO ice cube trays, bucket, OR shelf for trays in the freezer compartment. Plastic screw covers were missing or broken. Freezer door handle keeps coming off. Produce drawers are cheap flimsy and DO NOT slide in and out smoothly. Freezer pull out wire basket does not operate /pull out smoothly either. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED CONSIDERING WHAT WE PAID for this unit AND NOW ARE STUCK WITH, although we are sure this one will not last 28 plus years. Will not buy this company again.

Never needed any service other than the ice maker freezing up a few times, which I was able to fix. The best refrigerator ever. Okay concept, not so good on actual usable space

We purchased this unit because we had an Amana for the past 15 years, which was quite reliable. The older unit was standard Freezer on Top model. The newer unit is about 2cubic feet larger volume, but frankly it's less usable space. We have had to move a number of items formerly stored in our kitchen fridge/freezer to our basement freezers because they just dont fit in the new unit. Frankly, I'm disappointed. As a guy that's done some product design myself, I can suggest that the new unit was likely designed by a guy, and not by someone that actually uses the thing every day. More background; I was part of a team that originally imported the Vestfrost units to the USA. I actually have some experience with completely new fridge/freezer formats. I was able to get used to the Vestfrost and make the space work, despite it being a considerably smaller volume than typical US units. Sorry to say that this Amana layout is just not as practical as the older model; more volume, less usable space. No wonder we have to import tech support.

We've had 2 Amana 22 cu ft units with bottom freezers with freezer doors that swing open and have loved them. Our current unit seems to be going downhill and so I planned on purchasing another one. Now I find that I can only get a freezer door on a smaller model. We don't want to pull all of our freezer items out into the room every time we get a bag of peas, etc. And cleaning out the freezer isn't nearly as easy with a drawer unit. What a disappointment!

We bought this 2 years ago. It's noisy, and after 5 months we had a $500 bill to replace cooling device. The freezer has a panel in the middle that will NOT come out. Makes it awkward to distribute things. Now it's having trouble with temperature again. We have always had Amana fridges and, because of space constraints we had very few options for a new appliance. We were sure this would work but all the plumbing has been replaced with plastic. It's just junk. Fridges are pretty basic mechanically, Amana dropped the ball.

Just the right size

I bought this to replace an Amana refrigerator and an Amana freezer I purchased when we bought this home in 2000. I buy Amana for the quality product it has proven to be for our family. Prices are reasonable and withstand wear and tear of our 6 grandchildren now grown. this product meets my current needs as I am now alone with dinner at grandmas on Saturday. I can testify to the quality product that you sell. this model is more efficient than our older one. freezer is just right size to hold enough food for me and occasional guests. and now, we have to great grandchildren and I am sure it will hold up to our needs

Purchased this refridgerator one month ago and love it. Plenty of room and love the adjustable racks. The door feels solid when closing. Bought this just in time to stock up on food.

Amazing storage space and yet, still economical!

This refrigerator is a marked improvement from my previous unit. It has so much more space and is extremely conducive to that previously-dreaded loading process after returning from the supermarket. It is a "joy" to own for both my wife and me.

I purchased this product for my wife and she loves it. We live in a older single wide mobile home and it is the perfect size for us. They only thing she doesn't really care for are the two plugs used on the front for optional side for door handle. But after awhile you don't notice them as much.

My old frig gave out. I shopped hard and compared many manufacturers and their models. When I found this Amana I bought it. It was exactly the right size with exactly the right options. No other refrigerator came close; especially when the price was factored into my decision.

We have trouble with the freezer. As we pull the two layers in and out things get stuck and/or fall off the back.

Pull out freezer drawer moves from side to side if not opened exactly in the center of handle . Seems flimsy inside compared to my prior Ge profile refrigerator. Is noisy when cooling if the door has been opened for a few minutes

We got suckered into an LG. It started falling apart after a few months and it seemed crowded. The shelves broke. This Amana is great, my wife keeps telling me how much she likes it and a great feature is that it has an incandescent light instead of led so the food looks good.too.

Nice but main control board failed in just 3 years

Purchase my refrigerator July of 2015 because I wanted to have a refrigerator made in the USA however its electronic components are made all over the place my main control unit manufactured in Mexico failed after 3 years cost me in excess of $300 to repair and the lost of my refrigerated contents. Repair person indicated whirlpool n knows about the board's deficiency and yet wishes to make more money on this flaw. And not only that they insist upon the return of the original motherboard and charges a core charge if not returned. also found out that once this board is installed it has to be programmed and the service people are the only people who know how to program it.

I only have the Amana refrigerator for a few weeks and thus far it is very quiet and temperatures are perfect for freezer and refrigerator. However, I am very disappointed that the interior, same size as my 25 year old Amana was, didn't even come with a loose ice tray, egg tray, butter dish, no place for cheese etc. It is totally naked inside, plus the vegetable compartments are not as long as the 25 year old ones, and the freezer is much smaller. Would never have bought this model if I had seen it at a store. Was forced to buy via Internet, despite having shopped at at lest 5 or 6 stores. One of my criteria for purchase was I had to be able to use magnets on the door for my photo gallery and this model accepts magnets.

Love this refrigerator

We got this refrigerator a few weeks ago; we've never had stainless steel before and love it, it is clean, elegant. Doesn't show fingerprints, the sides are textured so they don't scratch. The inside is well lit, spacious, easy organization, perfect for us. The freezer is better organized than our previous refrigerator, all is more neat and easy to use.

Compressor died after 3.5 years

Bought in 2015 to replace the one that lasted 20+ years. Love the design but hate that I'm replacing it in 2018 because the compressor died.

I purchased this to replace my old refrigerator with freezer on top, it's bigger than I had before, but I really am adapting easily to it. I wish there were a lock to keep the grandkids out of the freezer for getting their pops and MY chocolate.
